Does TimingDesigner support the Unicode character set?

TimingDesigner® does not support the Unicode character set. The Unicode character set is composed of 16-bit characters and is commonly used today to support characters for nearly all printed languages. Like TimingDesigner, it was originally designed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Because Unicode was not yet in widespread use, TimingDesigner was designed to use the more common American National Standards Institute's 8-bit ASCII character set.
